One of my favorite online stores is The Greeting Farm and the adorable stamps that they create. I admit that I have quite a collection of them (hoarding, as usual) and have made a few cards using both the stamp version and the digital version. Here's just a sampling of some of my cards.

Vintage Upcycled Notes

I loved making these vintage upcycled notebooks. I took apart some old notepads that I had, covered them with a cardboard base and decorated the covers using all of my vintage embellishments. They sold really well at last year's craft fair, so I think I'm going to make more to sell from my Etsy store in the new year.

Kris Allen Concert Journal

Yes, I'm a big fan of Kris Allen's music. In 2012, I attended two of his live shows; and in 2013, I'll attend two more -- got my VIP tickets! Woot! Woot!

I've been hoarding these cute Amy Tangerine mini books/day books for about a year and I finally figured out that I can use them to document various events in my life.

Here are a few pages from my mini book:

This is the cover. I'm using Amy Tangerine's mini book because all of the pages in the journal are the same size (her day book journals are great because there are different page designs and sizes). 

One of the pages inside of the journal, listing the performances I attended in 2012 and the two I'll attend in 2013. In May, I convinced my friend Kerry to accompany me for a day trip up to Ocean City. I was going to attend the concert alone but Kerry kindly agreed to go with me and keep me company. Yay!

So what else are you going to do for 7 hours waiting for a show? You hang out on the beach, the boardwalk, get henna tattoos, and buy cheap beach chairs! 

The next Kris performance I attended was at The Hamilton in Washington, DC. I think it's one of my newest favorite venues to see performances. I won VIP sound check passes and convinced my friend Michele to join me. By now, I had found some other local ladies who are big time Kris fans, so I didn't have to attend his show alone! Haha! 

I love my "The Greeting Farm" stamps. I swear, all of my stamps are used to look like one of the boys and rarely on actual cards. 

Stay tuned! I have two concerts coming in January 2013 and this time, I'll actually take more pictures and keep better track of my souvenirs.

Things I Learned - Prep

I recently joined Shimelle Lainie's "Things I Learned" online journaling class. I really needed to kick start my journaling and her daily prompts have gotten the old creative gears moving again. Here's the 4x6 mini album that I ended up going with. I decorated the cardboard covers, used a simple 1-inch ring, and cut all the interior pages on gray textured paper.

I'll update every few days to document my progress. For now, here's the cover of the finished album.

Day Book Journals - Past Trips

Finally. Going through my journal stash and pictures! During my vacation, I'm trying to finish all of these small projects that I started over the years. I finally divided up all my pictures and embellishments from my past trips -- going back to 2007 when I went to London/Paris! Haha! My junk drawer is getting organized and cleaned out.

I finished putting the journal together for my 2009 trip to San Francisco. I need to go back and do some journal writing.

And this is from my 2010 trip to New York City. I'm still working on this one, but I finally put the pictures in the right order.
